Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Attn: Stolen Bike In Boston

ok my drummer helped build this broadway bike style bike out of an old schwinn frame he had that we had powdercoated and the rest was assembled from broadway parts, then we sold the bike to his fiance, and today someone stole it from where it was ulocked in front of her apartment (she came out to go to work this morning and the lock had been defeated).

this is what the bike looks like:

it was stolen from magazine st. in cambridge by the trader joes. she is offering a reward for the bike back no questions asked, you can reach me at jasonbass at gmail dot com if you have any info, i can put you in touch with her.

I saw the Stolen report on CL, you should put those pictures up there too as that bike is far nicer than I expected given the write-up. I'll keep an eye out for it.

What kind of U-Lock?

Was it a round key or a flat key?

What was it locked to?

I'm sorry for your loss.

Oh, it wasn't my bike, just passing on information. I don't really know anything more about it.

I made a post in the Boston rides thread, but the middle east seems to enforce this law themselves. It seems they only do it on the Brookine str side since there isn't much room on the sidewalk.
