Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

The train my friends were trying to take was full and they couldn't get on, so they ended up arriving over 2 hours after registration.

I didn't go because track bikes are for hipsters.

16. It was my birthday and decided that suffering in NYC wasn't going to be as fun as watching my friend's band I Hate Myself and I Want to Die do their Nirvana cover set.

Plus it was my other friend's last night in town before he heads off to Guatemala.

Yes, my friends were late because of the train (or that's the excuse they gave me for being late).

And yeah, it's the Transcontinental Tokyo to NYC Bullet Train.
