Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Fork Rake question

Okay, so I bought one of those IRO's and I found a cheap straight blade carbon fork. The rake is 43mm and from what I understand, the IRO is 40mm. I've never done "the replace the fork thing", but my question is:

Will the 3mm make that huge/noticeable of a difference? My gut tells me no, that the trail will be about the same. Any thoughts?

If anything, slightly less twitchy steering. Otherwise? Probably no difference.

Might want to read this real quick— based on that info, I would ensure your new and old fork are the same length, and you probably won't feel the 3mm of difference, but it would seem to make the steering twitchier rather than less twitchy.
