Gnarly men's keirin crash!

How are you watching them? Is there a free RSS feed somewhere, or a bit torrent?

Got this box with little people in it...

There is a live feed at https://www.eurosport.com/cycling/mcp...vid34658.shtml

Oh yeah, the men's keirin final crash was brutal. And IMHO, they should have flat-out canceled the race, and canceled the guy who caused the crash - he shall remain nameless.

Gosh, the points race, the scoring is all over the place. Oh well, not my favourite event.

Who...Perkins? Didn't he win? lol

How did the one guy finish with no bars? I know at least one rider walked his bike across the finish line!

Ans one finished on a road bike without a helmet...they were scrambling like ants! Crazy...

Yesss, I'm watching. Eurosport (Europe's sport TV) rocks. They show trackracing live with some regularity. Was watching the Keirin, too... Nasty crash. I still don't understand how the Spanish guy got up and ran across the finish line with bike in hand after that crash. I was sure he must have broken his collarbone and an assortment of other bits and pieces.

To tell you the truth, after the crash I was expecting the nameless to be somehow disciplined and at least disqualified. I was 100% sure the race was canceled, so I wasn't watching (gots stuff to do at home), then I see this guy, pretty fscking beat up (he had blood around his right eyesocket), pick up his broken bike and run across the finish line.
It was all a bit scam-ish.

Yes, GMT. It's what Eurosport uses by default.

cool, thanks

do they do re-runs online or archive the live video anywhere? I couldn't seem to find anything like that, and I'm going to be on plane tomorrow during the broadcast.

That youtube video is "utterly useless"

I'd give real money for a "100% me" jersey.

I actually just got back from being there. I live in Aberdeen Scotland and went down on Saturday to watch. Couldn't stick around Sunday cause I had an early flight back. Was able to catch all the Saturday events; sprints, single and team pursuit, points race, and TTs. Some good races, the Great Britain team almost broke the British record for the team 3000m pursuit during both the prelims and the finals. That got the crowd going. Took some crappy pictures and videos on my point and shoot. Check'em out.

Wish I could have stayed around Sunday, that's when the action was.

Yeah, I enjoyed that one a lot, myself. Your guys actually overtook the russian team! Incredible stuff. I know it's called pursuit for a reason, but I couldn't help thinking that the russian team was a bit "thin".

The Ladies Keirin (which you missed) was brilliant - Vicky Pendleton is a force of nature!

By the way, am I the only one to think that cyclist women are 17.5% more hot than other?

^ With trackracers, that's pushing it. Pendleton is sorta hot, but look at a few sprinters... Chunky is the least offensive term.

But yeah, biker girls are 15-20% more hot.

Wendy Houvenhagel is beautiful as well.
And what's the name of that dark hotness with a piercing in her nose?

And this is just the british team! If I was in manchester at the 'drome I'd be staring like little kid in a candy shop

Agree on the chunky part, but I still find them attractive. By the way, the sprinter men look grotesque. The women, while chunky as you say, still maintain a certain grace about them. Men go to some hypertrophic extreme that's just Not Good.

Sorry guys, if you're reading: you are excellent athletes, but you did sacrifice the looks.

I watched the whole thing.
The sprinting and the keirin in particular where superb to watch.
I have a new female hero in Victoria Pendleton to add to the growing list of UK based cyclists too.
