Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

My friend had an old Kashimax BMX saddle that I got for him at a swap meet. Said it hurt his prostrate too much.

i rock a couple of kashimax saddles from time to time. for my fairly short stint as a messenger i rode on one. it didn't cause any pain given that i was on and off the bike so much and i didn't have to worry about it in adverse weather.

one time, however, i neglected to swap saddles before 70 mile hill ride. it was grim.
