Group buy option #2...bad news

Well gang the second option that I was working on seems to have fallen apart. The dealer is not setup with distributors that deal in FG components and was trying to find sources at prices that would allow us to offer a good deal. In the end he wasn't sure of the pricing or the amount of time to get parts or even if he could get some of the parts.

So in the end the Miche groupo is the only thing I have to offer at the moment...man that was a lot of work that just came crashing down. Very sorry to keep you strung along...but please think about the Miche offer.

Thanks for trying. I'm not interested in the Miche gruppo, so I was looking forward to seeing what this was going to be. It's ok, though, because I already have or have ordered most of the parts I'll need, but cheap extra parts are always good.

Yea dude...rather than trying to screw over my other deal, why not try to pick up where this one fell short.

I was trying to get Sugino 75 and RD build kits together...there really was more interest in them anyway and full builds with bars and stems and wheels. Work on that.

The pricing I had was $375 for a Sugino 75 Crank, BB and ring, KMC chain, Soma cog, lock ring and seatpost, and either a Shimano 105 (for threaded) or Cane Creek S2 (for threadless) headset. Or $160 for the same with a Sugino RD crank and ring and a IRD BB. So go beat that and have the chance to add bars and stems and wheels. Then you will be a god....or not but you will have done better than me and that seems to be your goal.

sorry, I'm obviously a little confused and/or lost. I haven't read every group buy thread. sorry to confuse this.

I am working on a different source for miche track grouppos, hopefullly with lower prices, but I don't have a definete quote from the vendor yet, so If this is legit it is yet to be seen.

thanks all.

How about this... everyone spend more time actually working on their deals rather than talking them up in the forum. That way if it works out you'll have your **** together and the buy will be ready to go. If it doesn't, you won't have wasted everyone's time with it.

If you're motivated to do something it would seem to make a lot more sense to organize something other than the buy that was just created. A couple dollars one way or the other isn't worth screwing up something that is already planned.

the problem is you should be working towards getting the sugino set-up group buy together instead of trying to beat grasschopper's deal that is already in place (sort of). stop trying to get the miche groupo for a couple of dollars less, because you'll just split the people interested in half and therefore none of the group buys will have enough interested participants

Right I think a lot of people would have...but the vendor wasn't sure of the pricing or if he could even get the Sugino parts as he doesn't have a regular suplier that sells Sugino. He was going direct to Japan for the Sugino parts.

Yea that was my point exactly. A he is a tool...if you wanted to get a group buy together why wait until after I got one together? To prove your better than me? Like I care? If he can get something like the Sugino deal together then great but otherwise he is killing both deals.

Why do you say sort of? That deal is set, it's time to order...go...go...go on that deal.
