Brand new baby

Actually, it's quite old. I originally wanted to buy a SS. But, after finding this site, I decided to build one. Thanks for all your posts and info. I used parts off my Superlight(for the time being) and bought an ENO eccentric rear hub and laced it to a new set of rims. I put it all on my old GT Karakoram frame and started with a 34/17 gearing. Not free, but cheaper than buying one. It's a whole new experience and I haven't missed the Santa Cruz all that much. Thanks again!

Sweet bike, I've always loved the older style GT frames!

Thanks! Gotta love that triple triangle. It is actually a pretty nice riding frame. The hardtail has been beating me up on the worn trails lately. It definitely wears me out on an epic ride day.

i dig those SPOT flame paint jobs. Nice bike! How do you like those egg-beaters? The components on that thing and the disk brakes are pretty sick. I'm jealous.

Funny story:
I was in the LBS picking up some tubes yesterday and a guy comes in asking how to convert his Giant to a SS. The mechanic gave him some options then asked him why he wanted to switch(just being curious). THe guy stated that he was not finishing where he wanted to in XC races, and wanted to ride SS because he thinks it would be easier with less competition.
