I did not know what to call it, but my new "townie" ought to be ready tomorrow - lets see if I can find time to take a few snaps

seaneee 04-10-07 12:28 PM

townie, roadster, just don't call it a comfort bike.

Nope, definitely shouldn't have.

Cynikal 04-10-07 01:59 PM

Agreed. That is amazing.

seaneee 04-10-07 02:07 PM

Is/Was that the infamous "Jason Lee Rides A Gnarly Fixie" bike? Looks familiar.

Personally, I would hunt him down and take it back.

killsurfcity 04-10-07 02:09 PM

i know i've posted this twice already, but it was made for this thread :D

The very one. The upside is that I have his top secret ebay user name and can track all of the weird sh*t he buys.

Little consolation, really.

killsurfcity 04-10-07 02:18 PM

he'd forgive you if you told me.

what? i'm curious!

newnoise 04-10-07 02:22 PM

I need to take a picture of mine. it's milkcrate-tastic

seaneee 04-10-07 02:23 PM

8****8, right? Don't worry, I'm not a creepy stalker, I just remember the auction. I pulled the images as scrap 'cause I really like the way the bike looked.

Here's his Velospace. Bookmarked it from the original thread.

His place looks pretty dumpy.

seaneee 04-10-07 03:06 PM

Maybe that's the basement where he keeps his immigrant workers. I hear all the Hollywood types have 'em.

Igneous Faction 04-10-07 03:10 PM

I'm pretty sure I just want to live out the rest of my life making bikes like these. Slack geometries... promenade bars... honjo fenders... brazed racks... Brooks everything. You know.

seaneee 04-10-07 03:24 PM

This thing would look rad with a set of promenades or flipped north bars.

all bikes approach townies/commuters. Or is it that all riders end up there?
