Anyone know anything about this builder? : Dossche
Well I picked up the white frame from my friends husband. He had purchased it for $600 off ebay from Austrailia. He didn't know much about the frame other than what he was told:
Dossche was a racer back in the 40's & 50's. He retired and started making frames. He made only a few around mid 1960's to early 1970's (~400) before dying of a heart attack.
I have heard nothing to confirm or deny this story and there was a Belgian racer with the last name Dossche but the site I found it on was in German so no luck there. I haven't found anything online about them so I figured I'd ask the infinite knowledge of bikeforums
The white bike has campy dropouts and forkends.
while this blue dossche I just picked up on ebay has nervex lugs and no name dropouts.
Both use reynalds 531 and have similar paint jobs on fork crown and tops of the seat stays.
So any knowledge on them would be appreciated
Thanks
