Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Found this old saddle - anybody know more about it?

I was picking up a bike I won on ebay and spotted this saddle on a different bike. So I gave the guy $5 for it. I'm not certain what year it would be or if it's even worth keeping but it is pretty comfortable and not that heavy considering all the hardware on it. It reminds me of the Brooks saddles that everyone here seems to love[?]...

Nice saddle! The stiching is a nice contrast to the brooks. Looks like a bit of polish/leather conditioner would be a good move.
