Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Spicer Steel vs. KHS Flite 100

So lately I've been checking out spicer cycles and they got some nice deals. I've been planning on buying the KHS they have for $225 but recently noticed that they also have a standard steel Spicer track frame for $200..I was checking out the specs and I'm sure it's the same frame as the KHS. anyone agree or disagree ? If it's the same frame I wouldn't mind to save 25 bucks.

here's the links:

mmmm well my fork came with khs logos on it. I am guessing the whole frameset is the same. I don't know if you have spoken to Gene Spicer on the phone yet, but he is really nice and will answer any questions. I recomend making the order by phone.

Those 2 frames are made at the same factory in Taiwan.
I know this for sure from talking shops when the Spicer
Steel first came out and from just asking Gene.

Yeah, I just received and e-mail from Gene confirming it and actually the spicer even has a fender mount in the back that's something that can always come in use. Thanks for your replies, dudes.
