MS Bike Tour NYC
...has anyone done this event on a fixie/ss? If so, share your experiences. I just did the 5 boro bike tour last week, and it was a great time, but I hear the MS tour is a bit more difficult, especially around the Palisades parkway in NJ...

Well, if you do the 60 or 100 mile routes, you'll be hitting the hills on the Palisades, but if you do the 30 mile route, you don't leave Manhattan. Depending on how much you love climbing, it could be an easy ride over rolling hills or the most hellish experience you've ever had.

the ms tour and 5 boro have nothing in common except that they both involve bicylces. here's the elevation for the ms tour. quite a lot of up and down. https://www.bikeforums.net/attachment...1&d=1158850955
i'd consider doing the new york city century in sept. fixed but not the ms century.
