Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Is the Madison gone?

A friend of mine is looking to buy a Schwinn Madison, but the stores he has gone to have told him they cannot get them. Is this true everywhere? Is there a shortage? Are they backed up for months on orders?
Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

There is a large on ebay and the auction says Schwinn didn't anticipate the demand.

They sold out of the 2007 much faster than they anticipated they would...there will be no more 2007 models made and so if a shop doesn't have one they wont be able to get one. Now my question is why the hell is Schwinn changing the color for 2008? I heard it is going to be blue or something like that...that white with red acents looks great.
