Clear tape for white wraps?

I want to go with white handle bar tape on my bike. I think it's a great look. Of course they will get dirty with time but have you seen any type of clear tape used on wraps? I would want to have maybe 6 inches of clear tape on the inside of the handle bars to try to keep em clean.

any ideas? thanks.

Just use some of the synthetic cork stuff like the Deda bar tape. You can wash it off with soap and water unlike natural cork.

FIZIK WHITE

this stuff is getting pretty common now

get it. its a bit grippier than the previous fizik stuff

the only gripe i've heard about it is when people get pissy when their saddle turns brown and their bar tape doesn't.
