Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

garage sale score but dunnoooooo

scored this wheel set at a garage sale this AM..... cost less than half of my former FRONT wheel

no cracks..nothing... hipster bull**** argument aside...I just don't know that I am into this:

dunno...think over all the bike is just too "modern" for me to begin with..

Whatever though...garage sales are the rulest.

I had to get up early and give my gf a ride to school....bah... stopped at a park to let my dog run around and saw the garage sale as we were leaving... Duder totally took my offer even though I had to leave and go to the ATM... came back and three people had tried to buy them apparently but he saved em for me

Could you disassemble and swap all the pertinent bits over to use the rear too?

I think it looks nice/appropriate on that bike, especially when compared to... say... this one.

If I decide to keep the front I think I will just pass on the rear to a friend/whatever.

ok the thingy hanging off the rear is a spare freehub unit or the cassette I am going to assume that it is the campy one these wheels came with both campy and shimano cassette hubs and the cassett bodies are interchangable
surlyville.com check out the fixxer it is a unit that allows you to fix a standard cassette rear wheel it includes everything you need to do it here are pics of my friends bikes with these wheels

just found a "fixer" on local CL so I will see if the person gets back to me.

Nah, that's what was weird....no other bike stuff. I got there RIGHT when they got their stuff out and sans some clothes that was the only thing there...which is really ****ing weird granted. The guy was older and super cool, just wanted the wheelset to go to a person that was siked about it.
