Suspiciously Low Craigslist Prices
How do I make sure a bike on craigslist that is way cheap is really a good deal and not a stolen one? Obviously I'm not going to agree to do the exchange in some back alley, but what questions should I ask? Why are you selling the bike/ How did that pedal break/ etc.?

If they say it's not stolen it likely is, did they post a picture, is it of the actual bike? mismatched front wheel? Also make sure to check the top and downtubes/fork it could also be a bent frame. unless they're a good thief (which they aren't if they're posting on CL) you will be tipped off somehow just by their body language and speech.
