Okay talk about what was the best bargain you got on parts or a bike
Zullo ($350) with campy record cranks and hubs -$350
DSC00706.JPG
Brooks Pro saddle - $62 (retail $120)

I got the idea from the guy who got the campy cranks for $150

Oh, yeah, and I got a set of nearly NOS TA pro 3 attaches pista cranks and a chainweel for $30, but I would have gladly given those up for the little 500 frame.

Fluted Campy 170 road cranks for $60. I'm going to get a shorter BB spindle so I can use the outer tabs and pretend they're pista cranks. Does that count?

Picked up my mid-70s Gitane road bike from a tip shop for $10. I bought it for the Cinelli saddle so I could put it on my other bike, then got it home and realised it was a sweet bike.

Bontrager Select saddle = $0, thank's to Andy. Free **** rocks my world.

Jaa, I've got a good hookup. I picked up a very nice late 80's Master Competition frame, fork, and Campy headset for $200. That wasn't a bad deal either.

1985 Panasonic Sport 1000 (complete bike) - FREE (craigslist!)
1986 Univega Arrow Pace (complete bike) - $15 (salvation army)
2004 Nishiki Century (complete bike) - $200 (craigslist)

The last one was I think a fantastic deal, not as good as the others, but I didn't replace any major things on it like the others. I only added bar tape and toe straps.

Bought, at a BMX shop, an early 80's Colnago track bike, with Clement Criterium silks, that still held air. It had been ridden maybe a handful of times, the black anodizing on pedals was barely worn. $125!

Sold it on Ebay for 750 because it was way too big for me, but I couldn't pass up the deal.
