Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

What a waste! A bike's no good hanging from the ceiling. You gotta do it justice by riding the hell out of it.

that's what proteus in college park, md. does.

of course it doesn't hurt that they used to have koichi yamaguchi as their in-house builder.

I wish I could talk him out the front wheel on that prologue. I'm having a hard time finding a 24" road wheel.

what a grouch. that basically translates into i dont want to sell this to YOU . but i guess someone needs to keep a pristine stash so there will be some cherry vintage track bikes left in a few years once the fixie craze dies down.

I guess it's up to the owner if he wants to hang onto or sell his pristine stuff. FWIW, I was into paintball for awhile and am hanging onto a pristine minicocker with very low serial number until I find the right buyer. Not in a hurry. Doesn't make me evil.

you know if he sold those schwinn madisons there would be a very good chance they would have a nice bright deep v wheelset within a month. not that i give a **** about that, but that might shed some light into why he is saving them.

desire is the cause of all suffering

keep your desires simple - like cheeseburgers or tassles for your risers.
