Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Do you have to be a messenger or can anyone come? Has anyone done this before and what can you expect?

This is only three hours away for me and I have no plans for the fourth.

It's open to anyone. My spinning coach told me about it and said that anyone is welcome (I am not a messenger and I entered last night). If you need a couch to crash on you are more than welcome to crash on mine Cap'n.

Damn, that sucks Jason! 165 took some pictures of the afterparty (and of the race?). I'm guessing that there should also be pictures posted on www.cuttincrewchicago.com pretty soon!

Yeah, I got a total of 4-5 pics (2 from my checkpoint, TT#2-which was SLOW business...). DV did good and had a good time, but looked well worn at Handlebar. Nice work DV! I'll post the pics ASAP.

Aw man, that's a pretty nice bike. I hear the componentry is whack but that the frames are in excellent shape. Maybe I should look into getting that thing and slapping my components on it... I dunno though, that steamroller is looking mighty MIGHTY good...
