Hey I'm putting a soma chrome threaded fork on my girlfriends 47cm. Need to know the head tube length on a 47cm. I believe the smallest steerer tube is 160mm or 6.3 inches. Wondering if that will be enough to get the headset on (can creek 100 threaded, 39mm stack height).

The front is a 28 Vittoria randonneur and the rear is 23 Hutchinson. The bullhorns are comfy, but it took a bit to get used to. Out of the box you might find yourself wishing you didn't get them, but after 2-3 rides they are awesome. I don't know if i would run them for daily city riding. I would run risers to make things more comfy, and my back does not hurt at all with them. The amount of positions makes them really comfortable for longer/ish rides. New pics with the carbon fork soon.

    Hi,

I'm considering getting a KTT also. I read 50 cm is taller than your average 50 cm bike, and was advised to get a smaller bike, although I ride 20", or 50 cm road bikes,as in vintage 10 speeds. What's your take on this?

    Many tanks,

the stand over may put you a little on your tip toes, but it shouldnt be too bad. i probably would have gone with the 51, but it's too late now... unless you can contact them and get a quick change

Upgraded fork and Cane Creek S-2 Headset. Bent the old kilo fork by abusing the bike. No more abuse with carbon! on with the pics:

well 53 mm is awfully small. but on my 53 cm... seen above... (self advertising)... is 80 cm... you can find all the sizing at the link below:

    http://www.cyclesmercier.com/geometry_tt.html

also, i had noticed the seat felt odd, but i haven't been able to ride it in a few weeks, was waiting for the headset to get installed after forgetting to buy a base plate. but i'm gonna flatten that out when i get home. lol. but having suction cup like balls doesn't hurt

    I'm about 5'5" ~65"
    My inseam is 30" = 762mm

Looking at that chart I think a 53cm would be right for me? What do you think? I do kind of like the feel of bigger bikes so I wonder if I should just get the 55? Or would that just be ridiculous?

edit- I just measured my globe roll and it's a 43cm, wtf? I do think that bike is probably too small for me... but wtf?

if you're only 5'5" i wouldn't go bigger than the 50cm you may however even wanna go down a size below that. i think my room mate is 5'5" and he rides a 47 i think. not a kilo, but i'm pretty sure thats the sizing isnt too radically different
