Nah, I'm fine... my car not so much- the light post actually didn't get too messed up either. Thanks to having an AWD car, I needed to replace all the tires at once, and one of my rims, and I needed a new bumper.

What happened was I was in town visiting a school I'm looking at for grad school, and on my way back home I took a wrong turn and ended up in a bad part of town, late at night, so my GPS rerouted me and was telling me "make a u-turn" I was just trying to get out of there, and avoid the people who were banging on my car when I was stopped at the light, so I just punched it, and swung way too wide and BAM. Messed up a tire, and a rim, and my bumper. I still high-tailed it out of that neighborhood though.

It's been slow going so far, I had a good chunk of change ready to buy pretty much all the other parts... but I need that for the insurance deductible from the car accident. *sigh*

That sucks. Imagine if you ended up being stuck in that ****ty part of town, forced to hang out with all the sketchy people you were trying to get away from until the tow truck arrived?

its nice for the longer rides. i dont always like riding with a backpack, so the water cage and the saddle bag are nice for that

hey guys new here and rarely ride bikes, but i figure since i'm going to be commuting around might as well try and get into the habit or enjoying it... I got a Kilo tt pro from BD and I have two questions..

one, I think I ****ed up by getting a 50cm when i'm about 5'9.5".. my reasoning for this was because I read on bikesdirect that the KiloTT uses c-c instead of the more common c-t so the 50cm is actually close to a 53cm (c-t) and i'm supposed to be fitted for a 54cm/55cm. I remember saying that it's safer to ride one size smaller if you're not sure, so i chose the "53cm" size (the 50cm). the geometry looked somewhat similar to a 54cm galaxy (the #'s weren't TOO off, I don't think).

it says the stand over is 30 inches, when i stand the measuring tape next to me, it doesn't look too low so i thought it'd be fine.. will i most likely be able to ride this bike? (if no one can provide an answer, i'll find out when i get the bike )

two, if this bike is rideable then, great! what parts should i add on to it that you would say are a requirement for you?

i'll post up pics when i get mines! thanks.

dude you know, lol i feel stupid but i actually re measured myself, and the tape says about 68.5 inches which is about a little under 5/9..

i did it ghetto by just marking my head on the wall and using construction measuring tape, but i guess all the other times i've been doing something different everytime for the past 3 or 4 years me and my mom've been saying i'm "about 5'10"", guess we're lying to ourselves haha..

what about now? i guess i dont mind losing an inch to ride this bike!

you can ride it, it just may not be super comfortable on longer rides, above 5 miles. that or you can get a setback seatpost and long stem and it should be just fine.

Yeah, I bet. I really don't like riding with a backpack. I think I might try to find one of the behind-the-saddle style bottle holders if I can make it not look too goofy.

Just a heads up, I got my my Kilo TT Pro in and not only did it come with a front brake but also a rear brake. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to align the rear chain because it seems a little noisy so I don't think it's straight

I'm 5'10"" and ride a 50... a bit small for riding the drops with with flop/chop bars, it works great.

if you're feeling adventurous, take off the cranks and bottom bracket and tell us what bottom bracket they're using. those sugino 130 rd's are notorious for chainline issues with the front ring mount.

lol if they gave you an extra brake but a wonky road bb
