I think the mercier is a pretty saucy bike. My buddy shann just got one and he loves it to death.
I went for the Bianchi Pista when it came down to bikes. I'm a sucker for shiney stuff.

Odd question, but how "track" does this frame feel? Looking to add to my bike quiver, Mercier is top 3 for choices.

So I decided to order a new set of wheels for my KTT. On a budget, of course. I decided to go with the 2008 Vuelta Track Team from BD's sister company Bike Island, in white. When I received them -- even though both the order and the box they came in said white -- I was actually shipped blue wheels.
Hmm.
I contacted Bike Island and they were ready to have a UPS guy at my door to pick them up and get me a white set, but the more I looked at them the more I thought it might look OK. Unique, if nothing else. So I told the Bike Island guy not to worry about it, that I'd keep the blue (for what it's worth, he refunded me $20 anyway, which I thought was cool.)
I swapped out the black Swobo grips for some blue Oury's, and I'm hunting down some blue brake cable housing and a blue saddle. Here it is:
I'm a bit iffy myself. I think the white would have looked better, but it's too late now. I think with some more blue, though, it could wind up kinda cool. What do you guys think?
Edit: the picture makes the wheels look a bit more purple than they actually are. In reality they're much closer to the color of the grips than that picture makes them appear.

I think the blue looks pretty good. I was thinking about getting white Dp18s, but I'm trying not to spend money since I'm going on vacation this week D:
Here's my stock bike..but I just put on the white bar tape and I think it looks pretty snazzy compared to the black tape.
I also want to cut the steer tube a bit cause I think it looks way too long and my stem's not all the way up either.

Has anyone made their Kilo more of a townie? As in, more upright position, basket, etc.
Oh and Tim, I noticed your Kilo is 60cm, how tall are you?

When straddling the top tube, how much space do you have?

A hair over an inch. But the tip of my junk hits the bottom bracket shell.
...
Just kidding.

Ah. Well, as you can see in this pic, it looks like I dwarf the 60cm. But it's very comfy for me to ride:

tim, blue looks great. it's just a bit different, something you would see on a soccer jersey but not on a bike! definitely unique and an awesome bit of mishap.

i ride a 60cm as well and i'm 6'2" with short legs.
i didn't want a really cramped bike.
it's not as big as people say and i really is quite comfortable.
with it's track geometry and high bb, it makes the bike feel smaller imo.
.....but what do i know?!

yeah i am 6'3" with regular sized legs and my junk rests on the TT when i stand over it flat footed. kind of uncomfortable. i guess i could go for a little smaller, but i think the 57 or whatever might be too small. any bigger though, and it wouldn't be comfortable. would never know without trying.
