You basically answered your own question. You learn to deal with it. It's really only an issue at very slow speeds, and even then, I've learned to time my turns so that it doesn't hit. I have had some problems weaving in and out of stand still traffic here in NYC, but otherwise I've learned to deal with it... These bikes are meant to be on the track!

Came out pretty tarck . I could use a shorter stem. Other than the toe overlap (learning to live with it) I love it.

Changes:
-san marco rolls
-origin8 bullhorns w/ fizik microtex
-mks gr9 pedals
-sturdier plastic clips (steel ones hurt my toes over time, shoes too soft?)
-EAI 17T cog & durace lockring
-DP-18s
-vittoria zaffiro pro tires

A certain group of heroes in a half-shell came to mind upon seeing your bike.

LOL, when I was a kid I was obsessed with TMNT. Didn't intend for the colors to come out this way (maybe subconsciously?). Leo was my fave although when I played the video games on my cousin's Nintendo I was always forced to be Donatello ha!

Oh, I had the bulls wrapped with red tape on my previous bike. Orange saddle and I would've had the whole clan. Way too much though

Yeah, that's what I figured. I think I'll just get white tires so my shoes don't turn black.

I think 110mm? Not positive. I already swapped it for a 50mm I ran across this weekend. Maybe someone can chime in or you can search this thread.

I'd venture a guess that it's just white electrical tape.

happened to mine too. got a replacement fork, they let me keep the smooshed one.

So i'm pretty much done buying crap for my kilo (for now). Only thing i mainly wanna change is i still want a shorter stem and possibly switch out the cranks, but that'll come later. I've been buying parts for the thing since shortly after i got it and i love the way it looks now. Here's a few pictures of it after i put on my CXP22's UPS dropped off earlier today. Excuse all the e-tape on some of the decals, i want to paint it in the future so this is a short fix for now to cover up all the Mercier decals.

You do need shorter stem seeing how far forward your saddle is.

agree.

Overall looks nice though. I just don't like those bars. I think it'd look really good with some TT bars, but that's just me.
