Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

could anyone identify these hubs..

Could anyone identify these hubs? There is a distinct chance that they are novatec or formula, but without the cutouts, just checkin.

they look a bit like Diacompes, but in silver and with hollow axles instead of solid.
the hollow axles make me think of novatec/dimensions, but without cutouts. The hub shell looks a bit wrong though

The bottom one looks like it has a "Velocity" logo on it though.

How does that explain the hollow axle, sealed bearings, different spacers and new-ness of the wheel. I only got contacted about the release yesterday.

Oh I see now, I just re-read your post and it clearly states that those are brand new hubs that you just heard about (no sarcasm intended)

No, I just heard about the wheels. They are a new offer. Silver anodised fusions to those hubs in 28/32/36h. I don't see why they would laser etch their logo into the rim instead of those god ugly decals if they were trying t clear out hubs.

Found em. They are made by Chosen hubs http://www.chosen-hubs.com/pro-detai...&tid=47&id=207

And they are most definitely not formulas. They make a set with the old-school style oval cut-outs

That still doesn't look quite right.
even without those oval cutouts, the flange faces don't have that beveled edge in them

mmm, but I finally got confirmation from Velocity that they are made by that company. Basically the cutout hubs without the cutouts.
