Safest place evahh to lock up
I locked up at school today at a rack with a very nice Independent Fabrications mountain bike, all blinged out with a Chris King headset and assorted goodies and secured by nothing more than a cheap combination cable lock.
I can't imagine anyone fighting with my ulock for an internet cheapie when that bike is there for the taking.

Last Friday, I took part in my first Alleycat race.(came in second) At one point, we had to go to the Fresh Market, buy a Peterson's soda and chug it. Nobody bothered to lock up, we just left the bikes outside. I figured they picked that store because I didn't know the layout and spent over 5 minutes running around looking for the drinks.
So, the Fresh Market grocery store on the corner of Whitesburg and Airport is a safe place to leave your bike.
'Course, this being Alabama, crooks correctly assume we are all armed.
