Mavic CXP23 vs. the CXP33s
I am trying to decide between these two wheels for the commuter I am building up. The CXP33s are lighter as well as a bit more aero, but also more expensive. Does anyone know the difference between them in terms of durability and/or ride quality?
I've read up on both but haven't seen a comparison between the two. Any thoughts on either rim or how the compare would be great - Thanks!

cxp33s aren't that much more expensive if you're building the wheels yourself, so personally i'd spring for 'em since they have eyelets and deeper section. i figure buying quality parts initially rarely comes back to bite you.

My CXP22's have eyelets, I don't see why the other higher end ones wouldn't. A ton of kids are out riding 22's from that ubiquitous 22/Formula wheelset. Great wheels, I'd buy CXP's again.

Thanks for the responses. I ended up ordering the CXP33's. All in all it came to a bit more than I wanted to spend - but it should be a sweet setup.

CXP 23's and 22's come in no eyelet and single eyelet versions. CXP 33's use an internal aluminum eyelet. 33's have a deeper profile than the 22's and 23's which are very similar in profile. 33's are essentially the high profile, aero option to Open Pro.

Hi
I have just laced some DA high flange track hubs to CXP33's. Used 14/15/14 gauge DT spokes (284mm calculated from an online xls) and DT alloy nipples.

You can decide whether it looks like a good marriage.
