Finish on silver velocity deep-v rims?

Does anyone know if the silver velocity deep-v rims are bare aluminum or if they have some sort of finish on them? I have a black set on my bike and want to strip the black off, but wasn't sure if I should put something on them afterwards. I don't want to polish them or anything, I am just looking for a color like the stock silver. Thanks.

they have a coating on them at least the shiny silver ones do

yeah, I have a set and they look like, um, metal. They aren't polished and it appears that there may be some sort of coating that gives it a very slight texture -- not necessarily visible but to the touch, it's there.

yes you have to remove the coating before you polish them

the 'bright silver' color advertised by velocity is anodized.

as far as i know, all their 'colours' are anodised. my advice, keep the black!

most of their colors are powercoated. a limited few are anodized.

Is the Electric Red anodized?
Can you use a brake on anodized surface or does it still need to be machined?
