Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Ever have a ****ty day...

Where you replied to maybe 5 craigslist offers throughout the day (and, for me, one dude here and on craigslist who wants to trade his pista for a single speed) and by bedtime not one person has replied back?

I know people have lives and shizzit but that's depressing. All I want to do is buy your old stuff!

=[

Ohhh say it aint so. What a miserable and horrid life you live because no one responds to your internet postings. Where is my small violin**********

Call me when you forget your rent payment, get a flat tire going into work, have 4 bosses giving **** they don't want to do over the 4th (which means you can't enjoy it), spend the other half of the day getting *****ed out by crabby clients and get in a fight w/ your gf when you get home.

Get a job hippie

Are you responding in legible English with acceptable grammar? When I have something up on CL I ignore all the replies that look like they're written in LOLcat.

You know what's better, when you arrange for meeting to transact and the other person doesn't even CALL YOUR ****IN CELL TO TELL YOU THEY CAN'T MAKE IT.

worse than that, when they stand you up, don't call, and when you call to find out what the deal is, find out they've sold it to somebody else.

Yeah. Having money and time to look at craigslist all day sure does suck.

Yeah it sucks to be ignored on CL. I found the EXACT (down to the size) bike I was looking for (it's a kinda rarae one) sent the guy emails and while I understand if he didn't want to ship he could have at least replied. Best thing to do at that point is go out for a nice hard ride, usually makes me feel better

I've never seen five things worth responding to on craigslist. Most of what I see are overpriced, crappy "vintage" bikes. $300 dollars for a gaspipe department store 10 speeds.

Then again I got my a great deal on a nearly perfect condition Centurion on craigslist so what are you gonna do?
