I've been looking for saddles for my girlfriend's Fuji Track (all pepto-pink powdercoat), and so far have come up with the Selle San Marco Aspide Glamour as my best option.
Color is a factor here, as most of the components match (flipped moustache bars, cranks, frame all powdercoated in Pepto; Pepto Yoshida Champ Grips; etc), so i'm going to go with a similar colored saddle.
Have any of you ladies ridden the Aspide Glamour? Is it a good saddle? If not, can you recommend something better in that color?

haven't ridden it...I just got a terry butterfly...that aside, I think you'll be hardpressed to find the feedback you're looking for here given that ssfg is a sausagefest of absurd proportions. I'll head over to the womens forum and ask about it there and let you know if I get any feedback. but the saddle discussions over there are inundated with "omg you must get your sitbones measured in order to have a saddle with any semblance of comfort" and girls talking about the proportions of their "large posteriors." disturbing.
also, try googling it, team estrogen and some other sites have saddle threads and such.

yes, there is a women's forum. you're not allowed in! it's actually pretty lame, they barely talk about bikes. but if you dig you can find info on saddles and other female-specific bike issues.
I posted about the san marco...the forum doesn't get much traffic so we'll see if we get a response.
there was one woman who posted earlier that she loves that saddle. other ones that get raves are brooks (of course), terry, and koobi.

Wow that sounds like a really nice bike you're building. You probably aren't interested in budget solutions, but my wife really likes Nashbar's Terry knock-offs. Only $30, and it comes in pink.

hello again.
the only response I got on the women's forum noted that you should have her sitbone span measured first, and also be sure that wherever you got it from has an open return policy.
I advocate the 2nd piece of advice - make sure you can exchange it if she doesn't like it. most places allow you to do this, just find out the time limit.
as for sitbone span, I don't think that's necessary. apparently Specialized has this thing called the butt-o-meter that will measure it, but not very many LBS's have it... unless she has excessively wide or narrow sitbones I think you'll be fine.
go with the San Marco; if she hates it, return it.

sitbone span and overall ass size are independent of each other :-P

sit bones can be measured by sitting on a mousepad or other high density foam objects.

i want to try the aspide glamour, i ride a selle italia lady gel flow but it's a bit soft for longer rides (and it doesn't come in pink).

I would just get the prettiest, coolest looking saddle and let her figure it out from there.

Alot of it is just riding and getting your a** toughened up a little. What saddle one person likes won't be the same one for her. I have several bikes with different saddles. Some are not too comfy ( WTB Shadow V Stealth guys version) but I like the look...The ladie's Brooks Flyer S is my fave...2nd woman's Terry Liberator that's sorta like the pink Nashbar...

I'm soon to be getting a Brooks Professional to try out...yeah...you could go from saddle to saddle...

update:



Day 1: rode about 10 miles. her vag hurt. i angled the saddle forward about 4 degrees as a result; rode about 5 miles after that, she said it was a bit better.
Day 2: rode about 20 miles total in the day, more throughout the evening. no pain, but she noted that it might need to go forward a bit (along the rails). We made the adjustment, she said it fits perfectly.
Day 3: rode about 25 miles split over two rides, saddle seems to fit like a glove. no pain in the vag, no chaffing, no odd or inappropriate pressure. I'll make updates if anything changes, but at 190grams it looks like we've got a keeper!
