favorite floor pump

i thought i could deal with just having my mini pump i use for emergencies and keep in my bag.

i thought i could deal with just popping into a bike shop whenever i felt my tires go squishy.

i didn't think that my laziness and hours spent at work would make me miss having a floor pump at home to use whenever i want.

anyway. lemme know your favorite floor pump and link me so i can think about how to blow my money, cause the joe blow i bought three years ago has fallen apart.

thanks!

Torelli Floor pump all the way. Simple function and design crafted in Italy. Rebuildable and Torelli has the best Customer Service and Warranty in the biz.My track pump had an issue with a 2 penny plastic part that broke, they sent me a whole new pump w/o need for the old one. I have now 2 great pumps. The one that broke(Track Pump) was upgraded via Andrew at Yellow Jersey. Torelli's accommodate the schrader valve and presta too.

one that pumps on both strokes, as opposed to just on the down stroke. other than that a pump is a pump, and most dual stroke pumps are pretty reliable. brand-wise, I use a pedros pump.

Park Tool or Specialized are both excellent and inexpensive. I bought the Park Tool.

Actually, I just bought the Park Tool. I've been running at half pressure till yesterday...

Go with a Silca. You'll never buy another floor pump.

We have had a silca at the shop for about 2 weeks now, and it doesn't work too great. Of course, we've used it a lot more in those two weeks than you probably will in 6 months.

I have a Joe Blow somethingorother that I love.

the pedros i have kinda sucks. we warranty/toss them on a weekly basis at my shop; now we use specialized and they make me happy. i just bought myself a specialized air tool pro or whatever it is. highly accurate gauge, mostly (all?) metal as opposed to plastic, really smooth, easy to get to high psi, solid base, and a button on the handle to release pressure if necessary. yeah, i'm hyped up about my newest toy. it costs $60 retail but we've been abusing them hardcore at the shop and they've been taking it like champs. as i'm a girl on the shorter side, i love this pump b/c i lack some crucial leverage and had to literally throw my leg over the pedros pump and sit on it to depress it after 90 PSI. the specialized pro deally is smooth the whole way...

That's the chrome one right? The red one is $20 cheaper and seems exactly the same.

I have the l'orange pump from nashbar, which for the money (i paid $30 or 35) works well— large dial gauge, adapting head, bleeder button on the handle. It's single-stroke but works nicely.

I've had good experience (at the shop) with the Topeak Joe Blow pumps (Sprint or Pro 2). Avoid the Blackburn floor pumps LIKE THE PLAGUE. We blew through literally a dozen of them last summer. The Park Tool pumps seem to be nice too, but I haven't had a chance to use one for months on end.

trust me, it is NOT. although the less-advanced model (comes in red, black, yellow, champagne, etc) is also really good. not the same though...

Why does everyone assume I will never want to buy another floor pump? I damn well might.

My favourite is this one below, the Topeak 2000 something or other, up to 200psi, brass, wood & cast iron, oil gauge, rebuildable, just really pretty. It's drawbacks are that it weighs 20lbs or more, it's double action, quick inflating, but once you get to 150psi it's really hard, nice workout.

but it just sits around the living room, there's a Joe Blow that's much more efficient by the door where the bikes are, that heavy one is my favourite cause its purty

I have an orange Pedros one thats been fine for a few years (just had to replace the hose once)
But I have an old Silca that I've had forever and needs rebuilding (which Ive just been a bit lazy to get to it) Silca came out with a cool looking new head though so that should get me off my butt to rebuild it pretty soon.

As much as I like that pump, I never use it, and I didn't have to pay for it or anything...do you think anyone would want to win it if I added it to the prizes in our raffle to send messengers to Dublin? It's a $200.00 floor pump, kinda unique?

Anybody tried the new Park PFP-4?
https://tinyurl.com/33sojp

Tired of my Ascent model from Performance that doesn't fit terribly well on the valve every time

Campbell Hausfield Air Compressor with PSI "set" gauge and 30' of airhose. You can set the gauge to a certain PSI, when you reach it the compressor traps off the hose and bleeds the air thru a vent.

I also came with a handheld digital guage for verification.
