Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I commute on mine so I'd go for something like a vintage Trek 720: Reynolds 531, fenders, rack, long Campy 1010 dropouts, randonneur bars.

A custom Makino frame, Kaisei 8630 tubing.
And all the components I already own swapped to that frame.

The same Langster '07 I have know, but custom built from the ground up with my own measurements, including a longer top tube, shorter head tube, move the seatube back one inch, and blinged-out with uber-light componentry.

The one I'm building, 80's Gios Evolution Pista frame, never been ridden. I have changed my mind a few times, but it's got Mavic Ellipse wheels on order, Campy Record Pista Crank, Fixie Inc. straight bar and carscratchers, Thompson post, Colnago stem, FiZik saddle, what else... I'll be posting photos in about a week.

lots of nude carbon fiber. And a hub that won't strip and spokes that wont break.

Good luck getting Steve to do lugs. It will cost you.

Clavicula. What length do you want it in, I heard that the waiting time on anything but 175, I think, is fairly long. Though with the look of that build you probably have been/will be putting it together over a long long time.

Now for the bike, BMC track machine (to match my BMC road bike).
Zipp 606
EC90 track bars
Flite Kit carbonio
KCNC Ti seatpost
DA cranks (7800 or 7710)
Wipperman 1G8 chain
Suntour cog
Look Keo Carbon pedals.
Dugast silk tyres.

old school - cinelli or colnago with all NOS campy record parts
new school - something very oversized. oversized tubing, deep section wheels, aero seat post, etc.
