Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

yes they probably are women's knickers (and its actually more of an aquatic/coral thing than floral). is that keeping me from wearing them? hardly.

seitenryu, there is a strong collection of various spandex (both proper cycling shorts and just tights) and wacky jerseys at kinji in tokyo, ill snap a few pics for you (or anyone) and if you want any I'll pick them up for you.

I love it!

You must find some really cool old cycling stuff there huh? I don't care about NJS stuff but if you wanted to get an old Keirin frame how much would it cost? Has eBay caused prices to shoot up?

It means he isn't actually going to buy one, he is just inquiring about prices in japan.

more similar to, "I don't want any meat, but what are the prices on those hamburgers there?"

i mean you will get the same answers from me as anyone else. anywhere from us 200-1000 usd depending on prestige of frame builder, condition, paintjob, who is selling it, etc.

I need a jersey like that. Damn. No way old ladies won't see me in their mirrors if I'm wearing that!

makes sense now---I had understood it as `I am not interested in NJS-approved things but I am interested in keirin frames,' which makes no sense whatsoever.

I don't care about making sure every single part is NJS, but I would buy a Keirin frame if they weren't so damned expensive. I have a fondness for Japanese bikes, and track bikes, just not NJS stampings.
