Track bike brake clamps- again

So in this article, there is the suggestion that there is a well-made clamp for attaching a brake to keirin bike. Unfortunately some dickhead stole the brake before even a photo could be take. Anyone know anything about it. I saw this UK based clamp for what looks like MTB forks, but nothing similar for track bikes.

I could always just buy a cheap chrome road fork, which is what I may end up doing, but I would like to use the fork I already have if possible. I have done the searches and nobody seems to have any resolution to this.

Yes in Japan everyone uses them. Everyone meaning some people anyway.

There are rear ones like I use. They are kind of crap of course, being a rear brake on a fixed gear bike, but solve half the problem, and most people I have talked to are pretty happy with them around town. Just 2 metal plates sandwiching the rear bridge with a single bolt and wingnut. Best to put some rubber or cardboard or something in between the plates and your paint.

The other type some people use are front keirin fork type clamp, but these are mecha takai. Maybe 120 or so US$ on yahoo auction.....rear kit is only about 30 for plates/cable/brake/lever everything, and are made by dia compe.

BS.

I just bought a front brake adapter at Kalavinka for 3500 yen (28$). They sell it with brakes as well for 6000 yen (brake lever or cable not included). They have them in black and silver colors. They're made for a rear caliper brake (because a rear one has a short bolt). I've just put my tektro brake and it works just fine. Be sure to tape the clamps of adapter or you'll scratch your fork.

I think you may order one even from the US, just e-mail them. https://www.kalavinka-bikes.com/

What i'd really like to know is why you would buy a bike with no provisions for a front brake then try and stick a front brake on it.

Ride it on the road with a brake, when on the track just unscrew 3 bolts.

Anyway, the brake is there because I'm not ******** to skid and kill my 80$ tires.

From what i understand, Kalavinka is reproducing or has access to reproduced versions of this old Dia-Compe design. (maybe dia-compe finally re-released it?) Anyway, parkerlewis was referring to the old Dia-Compe ones that had been selling for 120-150 bucks due to their rarity.
So yeah, not BS.
