Now what?

I rode my bike this morning in the rain.

Both the bike and I got wet.

Any suggestions?

Wipe it down, perhaps? Is it a steel frame? I usually keep an old towel around for those sort of occassions.

I usually end up posing with my fixie.

you RODE in the RAIN?
**** man. time to get a new bike.

everyone knows bikes are just for LOOKING AT... not riding.

Perhaps if I had one of these on the bike, it would have kept it from getting wet while riding?

Please note, that is not actually MY Magna lurking under the WeatherWizard tarp, although it is looking pretty sweet!

Some companies actually still make what they call "rain capes" and they are pretty much large tarps to cover you and your bike while riding. It looks like a cover but with a hole in the top for the rider. I've never actually seen anyone use one though.

Ride it some more.

Lock it up and go to work?

Cover every square inch of the bike in lard. It'll keep it from rusting. If you're vegetarian/vegan, you can use vegetable shortening, but you'll have to reapply more often.

Seriously, though, just wipe it down, make sure the chain is properly lubed, etc. You'll probably get some spot rusting on your fastener heads, where the paint/chrome has been scored by a hex key or screwdriver. If you use a Brooks saddle, rub in a little proofide. Buy some fenders if you plan to ride in the rain frequently.

ORLY?!

When Chuck Norris rides his bike in the rain, they don't get wet. The rain gets Chuck.
