Sunday at the Movies
Earlier this year we screened “Stars and Wattercarrier’s” and before that “A Sunday in Hell”, now the last of the Jorgen Leth trilogy.
“The Impossible Hour”
Following Danish racing star Ole Ritter as he tries to regain the hour record in Mexico. He had set the record in 1968, only to have it shattered by Eddy Merckx in 1972. A film about human limits and the quest for the heroic. Running time - 48 minutes.
Jorgen Leth https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0504654/
“C’était un rendez-vous” A film by Claude Lelouch
In the tradition of the time when both films were made…. the mid 70’s, we’re screening this short too. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0169173/ Running time - 9 minutes.
This Sunday (12.8.07) at 1pm @ the movie room @ Govinda’s - (from coluzzi/latteria in victoria st, walk/ride across the road, through the carwash and a couple of doors down towards the cross) - 112 darlinghurst rd, darlinghurst https://www.govindas.com.au/
The Movie Room charges us, so throw 5 bucks down when you get to the top of the stairs. If you’re riding you can put your bike in the restaurant on the way up (it’s safe).
Seats 65 (couches and beds down the front ….a love in)!
Do pass this on to anyone who would dig it, and anyone whose email I haven’t got (so many)!
Maybe some sort of drink after, huh!?
