Umm..... first you need a highly specialized occular instrument called an "eye ball", then you use a grasping mechanism called a "hand". You then rotate the tire with the "hand" and check for wobbles with your "eyeball"

you could have taken it to a shop for an easy fix.
at least you tried to do it yourself. you'll learn and it'll become easier every time... or more difficult depending on how hopeless you are.

while you have the tire off, put on a thin glove and run your finger around the inside of the tire and rim to make sure there is nothing sharp that caused the flat. sounds like it is a huge ordeal to change it, and i wouldn't want you going though it all again anytime soon.

sounds like you just need one more link in your chain. I had a problem getting my rear off with a short chain.

Please pick up a bicycle maintenance book, read Sheldon Brown, and/or take a class if your LBS offers one.

Isn't knowing how to change a tire sorta like knowing how to masturbate? You just sorta know how to do it. It amazes me when people can't figure it. It ain't rocket science.

Let Tony @ IRO know ya'll want tubulars....he'd love that.

I love how the OP just makes themselves more and more dumb which each successive post in this thread.

BEST THREAD EVER!

... i thought this ended a while ago

uhhh to the haters. knowing how to change a flat is not at all like masturbating.

I dont need to go out buy a tool, or even think about it.

all i needed was a couple of pointers so instead of heading to my LBS on a sunday night where they are closed or any CO-OP place such as Times Up, i sorta used this platform as my CO-OP/LBS to give me some pointers.

its all good though, i'd do the same to me if i were in any of your shoes but i gotta start somewhere right? Just thank me not asking anything about deep V's or spingeries and matching paint and bar stuff.

I don't think you guys had to be this mean but Alan you truly noobed yourself. Park Tools' website and Sheldon Brown have snark free info on most repair procedures, but I recommend that you buy a nice repair manual--it's easier to work with while actually fixing your bike. Haynes' bike repair manual got me going .

incase anyone cares, i fixed it. Took the tube out and everything, all that good stuff.
It is sorta like masturbating except i dont feel like going to sleep afterwards.

Now that my tires are fixed, what color deep v's should i get next? Are phil's worth the money, and what risers should i get. Should i get the HUF cracked decals thing? Where do you buy sleeveless T shirts?

Thanks all.

deep v's: neon green

phils: NO! for the love of god NO!

risers: get the ones that look like drop bars

decals: yes... 236 of them..

T's: rip the sleeves of one of your mom's T-shirts... oh wait, then you would have a sleeveless garbage bag.. just steal you lil sis's shirts.. they will look like they are sleeveless without doing anything to them at all.. magic!

oh, and I changed a tire AND patched a tube just yesterday! hooray!

************ is WAY fun!
