Stainless steel chainring
I just thought I'd share this with you.
I replaced my Sugino aluminum alloy chainring with a Surly stainless steel chainring. Sure, it's a tad heavier. After a week of riding (41 mi daily commute), I noticed my chain is actually staying much cleaner. There are also less metal shavings visible on the chain.

Be careful that the stainless steel coating doesn't wear off, otherwise it will begin to rust if you ride in the rain.
