Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

redline monocog

I am in need of a simple backup bike with a minimal number of parts to break. Therefore a singlespeed is the best option. I have most of the parts necessary to build a redline monocog, with an extra 300 dollars including frame and fork it could happen. It wouldn't make sense for me to build the 29er, so i would get the 29er for about 460-470, i would just have to find a place to get it. Which do you suggest. By the way are the hubs that come with the redline monocog 29er disc ready? (i know that the redline monocog flite and flite 29er are)
