Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? No, not my auction (nor my friend's)...just an interesting specimen.

He's used it only twice in 6 years?

I'm sure that all the guys hungrily watching eBay for a rare pursuit bike will snatch this thing up immediately. I'll keep an eye of FGG, it'll probably show up there in a week or two...$4500 BIN price-- what a steal.

Dude that Accel kevlar wheel is super trick. I used to ride with a rich lawyer guy back in the day that always had all the trickest stuff. I remember when he had a set of these made for his time trial bike, I think he spent $5000 on the wheels... and this was in '94! Zoiks.

Indeed, I noticed that...but then thought, "Where the hell else would he ride it?"

at least you get a bunch of stuff for 4500. 7 wheels (including 2 disks), 5 chainrings, 2 sets of custom bars and a bunch of tubies. But yea, I can't imagine spending that much on that, although I'm sure someone will.

I would never say I am poor, but I still can not understand how and why people buy things like this....

I love it. If I were filthy rich I might consider it. As it is I am dirt poor.

It's also what proper track equipment costs and isn't that expensive for people who are serious about track racing (not messing around on the streets). Check the price of a Zipp or Mavic disc wheel.

but this isn't serious track equipment anymore. Old 24" disks are probably worth $50 and even that only to the over excited father of a really small junior.

It's a waste anyway. $4500 will buy you a much better bike elsewhere.
