Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I just robbed my LBS

okay, so i didn't rob them... but they were having a clearance and this is how i made out:

EastonCt2 carbon seatpost: 80% off = 26.00

Manowar chain tensioner: 80% off = 1.40

Pave Sport Fizik saddle: 50% off = 30.00

Salsa clamp seatpost: no discount = 29.90

Seven Aluminum straight handlebar = 87% off = 10.00

total- 103 after tax.

total savings: 204.

i felt so good i bought myself lunch and a set of tireflys.

what's the best you've done with a shopping spree?

dookie- it was paceline.
in greensboro.

they kick ass. if there's any problem with the bike stores here it's that there are too many good ones.

and seriously i went in to spend 15 dollars, and spent a lot more- but what self-respecting bike consumer could help themself?

i should have picked up that campy bb just to use as a paperweight.
