Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

So... i'm outgrowing my previous career aspirations. Does anyone do anything really cool and bike related as their job?

You could build your own frames.

You could work for a large bike corporation in any area be it financial, HR, marketing, etc...

You could be a filmmaker and film bikes (freeriding or fixie/underground would be good, popular arenas).

You could do lots...

I pedicab. Made about $20 per hour this Saturday. Most of the days aren't quite that good though; that was during a football game.

I should look into this, I live in Ann Arbor, and the game days are always huge, and when parking $40 a day people really like to park way out and walk it, but i think i could make a killing with a pedicab.

All the pedicab guys around here seem to be parking around and talking to eachother all the time. Or eating. Dont look too happy or seem to be making cash.
