My new fixie. Also, I'm new here.

Puegeot fixie conversion. I frikin love riding it. Anything I should do? Brake is next up.

I should introduce myself:

Hi. I like to eat (a lot) and I've taken this bike apart about 3 times in the last two days just to tune things up and get it set to where I like it. It's my first fixie, my first month riding one. I've eaten **** a few times, nothing too major...just forgot you can't coast. Otherwise, I've been crusin around making good time on it. Certainly not my first bike, I have an old BMX bike and a Peugeot road bike as well.

looks good, I'm about to turn my exact same bike into a beater/polo fixie. DId you need to replace the BB? I'm having trouble finding french threaded BB at a reasonable price for a beater bike.

Looks good, welcome to the forum. I suggest that you install a front brake...makes it safer for you and others, until you get the hang of riding fg.

Hmm, the smell of carbolite in the morning.

Take the decals off the wheels. Do not add a top tube protector. Looks very nice.

I just converted a Peugeot, as well. And I also have had a hell of a time finding a reasonably priced French threaded BB. I figured **** it, it won't happen. So I cleaned out the BB, got new bearings, and found a Campangolo spindle that was short enough and it's working out flawlessly with my Sugino RD's. I mean, the bike is a total beater, but it's a lot of fun.

I'm pretty good at it as of now if I do say so myself, but I've had a few hills where I've really wanted a brake.

That's a pretty big angle on the ST, no? What does that do for the ride? Smoother because of the longer chainstays that come as a result?

Oh, and that's a great bike. See, I'm not as efficient. A month ago I posted that I'm new here and am going to build a conversion. I've yet to finish it.

It's a small small frame.. 53cm. I'm not sure there was room for a different angle. Fits me perfectly and that's the way I like it.

I love being 6'4“. Lots of fun finding a frame big enough.
