How to avoid back sweat from bags?
Are there any good bags that don't leave big sweat marks or are there any good ways to avoid this with regular bags?

i try and wear an undershirt, but it leaves that thing soaked. there is no real way to avoid it. although i have seen some bags with built in fans and junk.

I've been thinking a lot about this. How about some stiff honeycomb mesh spacer that allows air to flow relatively freely, while still distributing the load comfortably. Nylon or PP would probably be suitable.

but there's still points of contact because of the strap. basically, if you're wearing cotton, no matter what's touching you, i think it'll leave a mark.

The straps? They're too narrow to make a difference. It's the large area of the backpack itself that's the problem.

I get a sweaty back when it's below freezing and I dress light even on the coldest days. All the other things that will work have been mentioned: rack/panniers, clean shirt, hip bag etc... If you can fit your stuff in a saddle bag or handle bar bag those would be good options.

I have a back pack by Schwinn. It's supposed to have a sweat wicking bacing adjacent the wear's back. It does not work. Seems there is a new design that elevates the backpack above one's back. I prefer panniers.

whats worse than back sweat is when you dont sweat at all when riding, but when you go inside, you start complaining that its hot and then you start sweating bricks. makes you look very nervous and sketchy, like you are about to rob a place.

Hmm, I always ride in synthetic clothes that wick and breathe. Maybe you get sweat to a larger extent if you wear regular clothes.
