Freewheel side of hub
Just curious........Why don't the free side of most fixed/free hubs provide 42mm chainlines with some freewheel cogs? For example, my ENO freewheel cog's shoulder is at least 2mm thicker than my EAI track cog. Thoughts?

it should provide the same chainline however it is an eno so god knows I usually use acs because they are cheap and reliable and I have a stein fw greaser on order so....

One would assume so but I think some fixed/free hubs compensate for this by cutting the threads further into the flange on the free side. I may be mistaken but I think Sheldon might have mentioned this at one time.

Sheldon has lots of information about the difference between SS and fixed chainline. Indeed, it looks like most freewheels are designed to have a wider chainline than track cogs (by about 2 mm).
