Bottom Bracket (yes again)

But this time it is different.

i need to replace my bottom bracket. and was wondering if there were certian bb that would work better then others, or some that i should stay clear of

at my work we have LX bottom brackets and XT, (and i get staff discount) so would one of them work (i was thinking xt, if it fits, because its lighter)
