i see people talking about powdercoating aerospokes. how is this possible? is there some kind of process that doesn't involve putting these things in a 400 degree oven?

I may be mistaken, but can't you get them white directly from Aerospoke?

That bike is God awful ugly. I want to shoot it into space where it can float around until it's eventually obliterated by a comet or something.

Aerospoke gets them powdercoated with a low temperature process.

Powder coating will theoretically work on anything that you can heat up to 400 degrees for 25 minutes and will conduct an electrical charge.

I think that's factory direct white, and the colors you are seeing all over the internet is just spray-paint.

As far as doing it, I don't think aerospokes meet either of the requirements.

All I know is that last week, my girlfriend pointed to a bike that was locked up outside a library and said "Look, that wheel has five spokes and it's pink!" Upon closer examination, it was a spray-painted Aerospoke.

Aerospokes come powdercoated from Aerospoke in
white, blue, yellow, red, green, dark green, brown, and orange.
All those colors on the link are for Sulkys.
You might be able to send your wheel off to the same company that does it for them and get a custom.
