Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Looking for info on London Alleycats or other bike events

I'm in London till November 6th, and am looking for bike related events. I brought my beeter out from SF, and have been having a great time riding around solo, but wanted to try to get in on a group ride sometime while i'm here. I'll be traveling around between here, amsterdam and paris, but the majority of the time will be spent in london, and my schedule is pretty flexable. i'm planning on being here for the BFF... i noticed a flyer for it in a window. I'm stoked on it cuz i missed it in SF.

Hello from London!

There is a growing scene here - the best places (online) to check out are:
www.londonfgss.com - mix of f***ngers, old-skool bike fans, commuters, geeks etc. weekly Bike polo, Monthly rides, random events..
www.movingtargetzine.com - courier (not messenger!) forum + news alleycats etc.

Cool, hope you are enjoying London - plenty of friendly people on Londonfgss just post and ye shall find..

Check out the messenger short program if you go to Bicycle Film Festival!

Track Kaiju is in it. It's a little documentary about the other side of alleycats - the comradrie and friendship that exists before after and during Monstertrack. Shino and Hal are Japanese messengers who come to NYC for Monstertrack.
