Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Let's see some Winter Single Speeds and Fixies

So I kina of had a wet day dream on the snow covered walk to class today about a 29er fixie with some big ole 2.25" studded tires, which means you all need to post photos of your winter fixies and single speeds.

I don't have any pics, but when I ride in Montana I use the same 700c armadillos I use everywhere else. Never had any problems.

That's a great picture with the tow truck in the background.

I've done alright with the snow and fenders, but you're right pedex. I would do much better with a mountain bike that had mudguards and studded tires. Please excuse the crappy quality of the picture.

its a monocog from redline, some parts had to be replaced cause I got broadsided by a car when riding it a few years ago, so I turned it into my snow bike-----I really hate riding it to be honest, I much prefer my trackbike

It's like that shot of DC across from Nat'l Geo, but with actual snow and about 30 degrees colder.
