it's you. the bottles are inserted through the loops and rest on the tabs

i realize that but the bracket that attaches to the post is flipped. my cages point up and out, not toward each other.

it could be just a different model or just a alternate positioning.

They're generally used by triatheletes, if that helps you search more effectively.

While not technically a seatpost mount, it is a rear mount and still leaves you room for a small saddle pouch:

I had to put one on my IRO SE frame since i used the seattube bottle mount for my pump.

No the "holder" piece is upside down. If you put bottles into that they would be skewering your ass. And yes the cages are also mounted wrong since yeah.

A lot of companies make seatpost bottle cage thingies - just make sure to avoid the plastic ones. They won't be able to take a fully loaded water bottle and bumps without breaking.

I have an aqua rack that I find myself using less frequently. It's a quality product that I've had few problems with. I've lost a bottle or two, but that's usually after nailing some RR tracks at high speed or hopping a curb.

Usually I use a twofish velcro-on holder to supplement a bottle in my jersey pocket.

I don't like leaving the aqua rack on when I'm not using it, and it's a PITA to take on and off (plus it ruins the logo on my Easton seatpost hah).
