Rear brake on IRO Angus
I'm looking to make my Angus into a two-braked bike, and wondering about options for the rear. The rear bridge is too high above the wheel for a standard reach dual pivot caliper (I was considering drilling it). Can I use a drop bolt with a recessed mount brake? I was also considering getting a rear keirin brake for the job. Any reasons why this wouldn't work?

I don't really care about color, although black would be nice (that's what she said?). My main concern is clearance for a 700x30 knobby tire back there.

I would go with the keirin brake I am pretty sure it is adjustable up and down as it is just sandwich plates. Im not sure if that frame will take tires that big however. If not check into the jamie roy

You can make your own plates out of stock Alu and bolt them together. A nice touch would be to dip them in tool dip so they will be rubberized. They will stay better and won't scratch the frame.
